Volunteer

Highfield Farm is currently dependent on volunteer contributions and community support to operate. Though we would eventually like to be financially self-sufficient, for now we seek the help of folks who align with our mission and vision to operate. In exchange for contributing meaningful work, we seek to provide volunteer opportunities that build tangible skills, offer leadership opportunities, and allow for exploration, experimentation and empowerment.

Volunteer Roles roles support the day to day activities of the farm...

General Gardening Duties

  • Weeds have an easy time popping up around our site. We're always in need of weeding, watering plants outside of our Garden, harvesting (when needed). Additionall, The Alex has their own portion inside of our Garden. Drop in on Thursdays 9am-12pm to volunteer with them.

General Maintenance/Handy Work Club

  • Help with repairs, upkeep, and improvements to ensure the farm runs smoothly. If you'd like to join likeminded people in this capacity, join the Handy Work Club!

Farm Beautification/Art Club

  • Enhance the farm's beauty by incorporating art and flowers. Leave your mark by making the farm more vibrant and inviting. If you'd like to meet likeminded creatives in completing these projects, join the Art Club!

Event Planning and Coordination

  • Help organize and run events, ensuring they are successful and enjoyable for all.

Volunteer Group Coordination

Work Bees

  • These groups gather when we are in need of a large group of people to get larger-scale projects and efforts done. This is a great to meet new, likeminded people! Currently we need help with beautifying the Farm by helping paint, watering, weeding our Garden. Look out for more projects soon.

Group Volunteering

  • Bring your corporate, school, senior group to fulfill volunteer hours or just have a tour and explore our site. We'll tailor tasks at Highfield Farm to suit your needs and help our community thrive! Both outdoor and indoor spaces are available. All ages welcome.
