Highfield Farm

5 acres of forest with accessible pathways, perfect for forest bathing, and discovering native species within the city.

This space also acts as a wildlife corridor and home to many creatures including owls, bobcats, coyotes, bunnies, hares, weasels, badgers, and deer not to mention the wide variety of pollinators and native plant species such as alpine strawberries, and saskatoon berries.

Community Benefit

Visiting Details

The Richard Green Memorial Forest is open to the public during farm hours. Please check in at the office upon arrival and before you leave.

Highfield Farm

Highfield Farm is located on 15-acres in the heart of an industrial community in the city of Calgary.
In partnership with the Compost Council of Canada, and the City of Calgary, we are transforming this vacant property into a vibrant and productive urban farm through soil revitalization, food production and community programming.
