About the Event
Join us for this hands-on workshop to learn how to properly care for your tools this season, to help them last for a long time! Participants are to bring their own tools to work on, while being guided by a craftsman who has over 30 years of experience sharpening and caring for tools.
The workshop will cover:
- sharpeners, grinders and other tool-care tools
- sharpening your tools including spades, secateurs, snips, and knives
- taking care of tool handles
- lubrication of tools
- general tips for overall tool care
Participants should wear clothes they can work in and get dirty, and bring gloves, the tools they want to care for, sharpeners (optional), and rags.
Each participant will receive a sharpening stone to keep (included in cost).
This will take place in the greenhouse at Highfield Farms - dress in layers as temperatures may fluctuate.
