About the Event
Join us on Saturday, May 11th from 10am - 2pm as we kick off the compost season at Highfield Farm and celebrate Compost Awareness Week!

Discover the magical world of compost and the soil food web through interactive demonstrations, games, and activities.
Please bring cash for food sales. The Wi-Fi on the Farm is spotty and may cause Debit machines to malfunction.
We'll be selling:
- meat and vegetarian hot dogs
- popsicles
- water, juice, pop, and alcoholic beverages
- snacks
Parking: Follow signs for parking to the lot - along side of the Greenhouse. If onsite parking spaces run out, park along the road and walk in towards to Greenhouse.
Meet our Compost Club members and learn their favourite compost recipes at our Compost Kitchen, and help us make a compost pile at 12:00 PM!
Get hands-on with our wriggly friends at The Wormery and learn the essential role worms play in composting.
Explore the hidden ecosystem within compost and soil at our microscope station.
And don't forget to show your appreciation for Mom for Mother's Day! Get creative with compost-inspired card-making, plant a seed to take home using compost from Highfield Farm, or design custom buttons at our craft tables.
