Rainbow Garden Club

This is a private club for youth and parents and others in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community interested in gardening and growing! Currently, we are meeting weekly until September.

The intention of this group is to connect us with each other, with our food, get our hands in the dirt, and create a safe and inclusive space in nature for our community. There are many opportunities on the farm, and we can be open to how we want to connect with the gardens. Come ready to work, bring protective gear like gloves, sunscreen, hats, and water, and see you there. The location will be sent to you once your membership is confirmed.

In order to become a member, please submit a quick bio to our group administrator, Barb (she/her), to barb@barbsheldon.com explaining who you are and why you would like to join our group on the farm.

All visitors to Highfield Farm must sign a waiver: https://www.highfieldfarm.ca/waivers

We welcome anyone in the community who is willing to abide by the policies below. An official policy agreement will be sent to you to sign upon acceptance into the group.

1) This group is a safe, inclusive, sober space for all. Pronouns and names will be respected at all times, and every member of our group and those around us while on the farm will be treated with respect and dignity.

2) The land and workers at Highfield Farm (our hosts) will be treated with respect and dignity at all times, and for the safety of our members, farm policies and procedures will be followed at all times.

3) Any incidences of disrespect or worse will be immediately reported to our Group Admin (Barb) at the email address above.
