COVID-19 Policy

As a working farm and food access organization, we continue to operate at this time with increased health and safety measures. All of our operations remain outdoors and we are currently limiting groups of volunteers to 10 individuals in accordance with AHS outdoor social gathering restrictions. As a volunteer or visitor to our farm, we thank you in advance for your understanding and adherence to the following policy:

In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Highfield Farm has implemented a temporary policy to ensure the safety of all participants. We have also increased sanitizing of high-touch surfaces. 

 

All participants are required to:

  • Maintain physical distancing at all times

  • Wear a face mask that covers their nose, mouth, and chin while indoors and outdoors if unable to maintain physical distancing

  • Maintain proper hygiene including sanitizing their hands before and after touching surfaces

 

Participants are not permitted to enter Highfield Farm facilities if any of the following apply:

  1.  You have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days

  2. You have been in close contact with another person with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days 

  3. You have returned from international travel within the past 14 days

  4. You have returned from inter-provincial/territorial travel where there is a travel ban in place within the past 14 days 

  5. You have had any of the following symptoms in the past 10 days (exception if you are now symptom-free and have tested negative for COVID-19): 

    1. Fever (over 38℃)

    2. New cough or worsening chronic cough 

    3. New or worsening shortness of breath 

    4. Sore throat

    5. Runny nose 

    6. You are currently experiencing any of the following symptoms: chills, painful swallowing, stuffy nose, headache, muscle or joint aches, feeling unwell, fatigue, or severe exhaustion, gastrointestinal symptoms, loss of appetite, loss of sense of smell or taste, conjunctivitis
